Challenge yourself to beat the Lightning Lap Record. Run the fastest possible lap in the ultimate test of performance. Take on VIR's 4.1 Mile 24 Turn Grand Course. This is the toughest course in America, a thrilling mix of challenging corners and high-speed straights. Drivers will get 2.5 hours of driving time including 90 minutes practice with 60 min timed sessions with smaller run groups. In addition, registered drivers will get invited to a private car corral of the 2023 Lightning Lap cars at 5PM Thursday October 20.

10 Class winners each receive trophy, Car and Driver media online recognition, and an annual Track Club Membership powered by Car and Driver and Road & Track ($975 value) with VIP Access to track events throughout the year.

Price is $695 plus $59 for NASA membership.


There are ten individual classes including five street car classes and five racecar classes

Street cars must run DOT tire with minimum UTQG of 80

Racecars can run any slick compound tire

 

There are five street classes based on MSRP. MSRP will be the calculated based on NADA historical database for your vehicle. Final car classification is determined by the editors of Car and Driver.

LL1 <$34,999

LL2 >$35,000 to $64,999

LL3 >$65,000 to $124,999

LL4 >$125,000 to $249,999

LL5 > $250,000


There are five racecar classes based on total cost invested into the car. Cost will be based on driver provided data based on honor code.

Prototype LLP1 <$125,000

Prototype LLP2 >$125,000

GT Cars LLR1 <$65,000

GT Cars LLR2 $65,000 - $125,000

GT Cars LLR3 >$125,000

Transponder Rental: Transponders are required and available for rent if you do not have one. If needed, rent in advance below by Friday October 14 to guarantee we will have one. If you register after October 14, we cannot guarantee we will have a transponder and you may need to purchase one at the TMI store onsite or have one overnight shipped to you from OG RACING: https://www.ogracing.com/

If you are not already a member of NASA, the membership fee will be added prior to the conclusion of your registration session.

Once registered, no cancellation, refunds or credits permitted.

Any damages to the racetrack or facility will be billed to the driver responsible.
